DreamWorks Reviving Adaptation of Microsoft's 'Halo' Series?

Vulture reports DreamWorks thinks there's no better time to take another stab at bringing Master Chief into theaters. However, since the project had already been deep in development years ago at Fox and Universal there's plenty of legal red tape to sift through.

But DreamWorks' solution to that issue will have the studio using novelizations of the game as source material.

Official Title for Michael Bay's 'Transformers 3'

TFW2005 discovered (with confirmation from Collider) that the title for Michael Bay's robot fighting bonanza is Transformers: The Dark of the Moon. It doesn't exactly reveal anything about the plot, but without referencing the previously revealed, spoiler-filled opening to the film, it might reference the last three days of the lunar cycle, when the moon is not visible in the night sky.

Αναβάλλεται η συναυλία των Scorpions

Η προγραμματισμένη για σήμερα συναυλία των Scorpions στο Στάδιο Ειρήνης και Φιλίας αναβάλλεται λόγω αδιαθεσίας του τραγουδιστή της μπάντας, Klaus Meine.
Οι διοργανωτές πλέον, τρέχουν και δεν φτάνουν προκειμένου να βρουν νέα ημερομηνία για την συναυλία, την στιγμή που – σύμφωνα με πληροφορίες – είχαν πουληθεί σχεδόν όλα τα εισιτήρια.

Να θυμίσουμε ότι η φετινή παρουσία των μεγάλων Scorpions στην Ελλάδα, θα ήταν και η τελευταία της καριέρας τους, στα πλαίσια της "Get your sting and blackout" περιοδείας τους, καθώς έχουν αποφασίσει να… κρεμάσουν τις κιθάρες τους. Αξίζει να σημειωθεί ότι οι… Σκορπιοί, ανέβαλαν και τις επόμενες δύο επόμενες προγραμματισμένες παρουσίες τους, σε Βουλγαρία και Μολδαβία.
Αναμένουμε με αγωνία νεότερα…

Tim Burton & Danny Elfman's New 25th Anniversary Music Box

Even the most casual movie-goers are still familiar with composer Danny Elfman because of his frequent collaboration with fan favorite filmmaker Tim Burton. Now in celebration of their many collaborations for 25 years on 13 films, the duo have decided to release a Danny Elfman & Tim Burton 25th Anniversary Music Box, a collection of soundtracks and previously unreleased music spanning from 1985's Pee-Wee's Big Adventure all the way to 2010's Alice in Wonderland. Aside from a collection making up over 19 hours of music, there's plenty more in this limited edition release. Get all the details on this great box set below!

There will be a limited run of 1,000 sets made for sale in December for $500 (available for pre-order online right here) which includes the soundtracks to these great (and maybe not-so-great) Burton films: Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure, Beetlejuice, Batman, Edward Scissorhands, Batman Returns, Nightmare Before Christmas, Mars Attacks!, Sleepy Hollow, Planet of the Apes, Big Fish, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Corpse Bride, and Alice in Wonderland. In addition, there will also be music from Alfred Hitchcock Presents: The Jar, the "Beetlejuice" animated series and plenty more obscure and unreleased works. All of the music also includes newly created liner notes by Danny Elfman discussing each expanded score and its bonus material.

It Looks Like Peter Jackson's Hobbit is Going 3D

We've heard plenty of rumors about casting, greenlights and 3D for quite some time now surrounding the uncertain ground upon which Peter Jackson's adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit sits. However, a report from the NY Times (theirs seems to be the most credible source to date, complete with confirmation from Deadline) reveals that the two movies will indeed be shot in 3D for around $500 million. Since MGM clearly doesn't have the money to fund the project it looks like Warner Bros. will foot the bill for what will be a highly lucrative return to Middle Earth. For a bit more unsurprising news on The Hobbit in 3D, read on. Deadline speculates that this thrust into the third dimension for The Hobbit, along with WB's funding of the project, may in fact result in a 3D re-release of The Lord of the Rings trilogy. While the 3D conversion doesn't exactly excite me, I would really love to see the trilogy in theaters again. However, maybe to entice viewers back for another go round, I'd like to see the extended cuts make it to the big screen. Anyway, for better or worse, The Hobbit will be shot in 3D so hairy feet, dragons and more will all be right in front of your face if the film hits its planned release date of December 19th, 2012.
